Last week more than 120 media members from across North America gathered for the Major Media Preview drive of
the new MY16 Sentra. After a thorough walkthrough of the dramatic exterior styling changes, members of the media
embarked on drive routes planned to highlight the best aspects of ride and handling. The new MY16 Sentra received
great reviews from all media members, here are some early highlights from Canadian journalists:
“The drive feel in the Sentra is greatly improved, thanks to a new heftier steering wheel, inspired by the latest 370Z, and tightened steering calibration that’s precise and responsive. The retuned front and rear
struts and shocks and new rear bushings come through to make the car feel much steadier and more
planted on rough roads.” – Stephanie Wallcraft, Toronto Star Wheels
“Armed with a new refresh for 2016, the new Nissan Sentra is one of the best deals in the compact segment” – Lesley Wimbush of driving.ca
The re-designed Sentra has been transformed for the 2016 model year in one of the most extensive mid-cycle product makeovers in Nissan history. The new 2016 Sentra exterior redesign brings its appearance closer in look and feel to its more upscale showroom siblings. All three Nissan sedans – Maxima, Altima and now Sentra – reflect Nissan’s new design language first introduced on the dramatic Nissan Murano crossover.
The list of available Sentra Safety Shield technologies has also been expanded and includes, Blind Spot Warning
(BSW), Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). With
the introduction of these new technologies, the 2016 Sentra has once again been named the IIHS Top Safety Pick!
